Nobody wants to be seen as something they are not. Sloths are called lazy, even though they simply move at their own speed for their own reasons. Nobody can read minds. Perhaps a sloth feels limited by its nature. Perhaps sloths want to run or swing through the treetops like monkeys. But they recognize their limitations, they learn to accept themselves, and in doing so become wise. Why does the sloth cross the road? Because it wants to get to the other side? Maybe. If sloths could talk, we should listen to them.
