I always find it beautiful how the sun sets behind the Taunus mountains. It looks like a huge fire wall... Indeed there is a legend that tells of a high wall of fire - lit by the god father Odin himself.
With some fantasy you can even see him traveling in the clouds. 😉

How would people have thought 1000 years ago when they saw it?

Pareidolia is the tendency for incorrect perception of a stimulus as an object, pattern or meaning known to the observer, such as seeing shapes in clouds, seeing faces in inanimate objects or abstract patterns, or hearing hidden messages in music.

Yesterday, shortly after sunrise, the third highest mountain of the Taunus, the Altkönig ("Old King"), shone in an unusual splendor of colors.😍

"I'm still here!", it shouts from the rotten sunflower field. The little marigold doesn't give up! It shines on a cold and misty November morning, as if it were the most beautiful summer day! 🙄🌻
