The tear on this photo comes from the feeling of sadness. The loved one, far away. The desire for physical closeness couldn't be fulfilled. I captured this moment and I like the result. It's a pure photo. A quiet moment of solitude. An expression of vulnerability.❤️

Until around mid-August they mainly feed on protein in form of insects or meat. This is how they supply the larvae. As soon as the adults no longer have to take care of the brood, they need sugar to survive. That's why they get annoying. But that's no reason to kill or torment them. They do valuable services: pollinate plants and keep the environment clean. In contrast to the wasp, humans have a large brain.

I always find it beautiful how the sun sets behind the Taunus mountains. It looks like a huge fire wall... Indeed there is a legend that tells of a high wall of fire - lit by the god father Odin himself.
With some fantasy you can even see him traveling in the clouds. 😉
