Thursday evening after the first of two windstorms calmed down. The weather was really nice for a moment. Evening after evening the sunset approaches the Taunus Mountains. Its glow is already touching the Altkönig ("Old King"). Shortly after taking this photo, hailstones started penetrating the sensitive tip of my sloth nose. Can't await summer!

I always find it beautiful how the sun sets behind the Taunus mountains. It looks like a huge fire wall... Indeed there is a legend that tells of a high wall of fire - lit by the god father Odin himself.
With some fantasy you can even see him traveling in the clouds. 😉

How would people have thought 1000 years ago when they saw it?
